8.2.20 Word and Teaching: TEARING DOWN THE HIGH PLACES!

THE HIGH PLACES ARE COMING DOWN!!

Ezekiel 6: And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, ² “Son of man, set your face against the mountains of Israel and prophesy against them, ³ and say, ‘You mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God! Thus says the Lord God to the mountains and the hills, to the ravines and the valleys: “Behold, I Myself am going to bring a sword on you, and I will destroy your high places [of idolatrous worship], ⁴ and your altars will become deserted and your pillars for sun-worship will be smashed in pieces; and I will throw down your slain in front of your idols [that cannot bring them back to life]. ⁵ 

Judges 6:25-28 ⁵ Now on that same night the Lord said to Gideon, “Take your father’s bull, the second bull seven years old, and tear down the altar of Baal that belongs to your father, and cut down ^[c]the Asherah that is beside it; ²⁶ and build an altar to the Lord your God on top of this mountain stronghold [with stones laid down] in an orderly way. Then take the second bull and offer a burnt sacrifice using the wood of the Asherah which you shall cut down.” ²⁷ Then Gideon took ten men of his servants and did just as the Lord had told him; but because he was too afraid of his father’s household (relatives) and the men of the city to do it during daylight, he did it at night.

The Altar of Baal Destroyed

²⁸ Early the next morning when the men of the city got up, they discovered that the altar of Baal was torn down, and the Asherah which was beside it was cut down, and the second bull was offered on the altar which had been built. 

2 Kings 12:3 In the seventh year of Jehu [king of Israel], ^[a]Jehoash became king [over Judah], and he reigned forty years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Zibiah of Beersheba. ² Jehoash did right in the sight of the Lord all his days in which Jehoiada the priest instructed him. ³ Only the high places were not removed; people were still sacrificing and burning incense [to the Lord] on the high places [rather than at the temple].

2 kings 14:4 In the second year of Joash the son of Jehoahaz, king of Israel, Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah became king. ² He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jehoaddin of Jerusalem. ³ He did right in the sight of the Lord, though not like David his father (ancestor). He acted in accordance with everything that his father Joash had done. ⁴ However, the high places were not removed; the people were still sacrificing and burning incense on the high places. 

A high place was a localized or regional worship center dedicated to a god.  Many Worship at these local shrines often included making sacrifices, burning incense and holding feasts or festivals (1 Kgs 3:2–3; 12:32). Some of these high places contained altars, graven images and shrines (1 Kgs 13:1–5; 14:23; 2 Kgs 17:29; 18:4; 23:13–14). The Canaanites, Israel’s enemy who worshiped Baal as their chief deity, also used them.

Until a temple to Yahweh was built, the Israelites primarily worshiped Yahweh at a local center of worship—a practice that was not condemned. The prophet Samuel blessed sacrifices that were offered at high places, and Solomon sacrificed 1,000 burnt offerings on the altars in Gibeon (1 Sam 9:12–25; 1 Kgs 3:4). In 1 Kings 3:2, we find these high places were intended to serve Israel’s worshiping needs for a season “because no house had yet been built for the name of the Lord.”

Solomon himself got himself in trouble with high place worship of false gods and here is where this creeps in:

1 Kings 3:3 ³ Now Solomon loved the Lord, walking [at first] in the statutes of David his father, except [for the fact that] he sacrificed and burned incense in the high places [ignoring the law that required all sacrifices to be offered at the tabernacle].

Seems innocent enough right? WRONG! Solomon has that leaven of worshipping at the high places instead of at the tabernacle which was written in the law. He veers and begins worshipping God in a way and a place where pagans worship their gods.

Hmm sound familiar? People gathering to “worship God using a pagan formula and including pagan things

we find one of the first references to high places in the narrative of Solomon, the very king who built the temple. He taints this new era of gathering together to worship by building high places for Chemosh, Molech and all of his wives’ foreign gods (1 Kgs 11:8).  There was a seducing spirit, a lying spirit all tied into this as well as SOUL TIES

look how quickly Solomon’s foreign wives through soul ties were able to have just enough of an influence over him to begin to rationalize and ratify these pagan places as OK when in fact they were detestable to God, and it was the allure of foreign spouses that lured him into coming into AGREEMENT with what was so clearly detestable to God

You know how Solomon rationalized it out “Oh well I built the temple, I did a lot of good for God, I brings sacrifices and offerings to the temple, I serve the Lord. Um well you are serving 2 masters at this point. And I will tell you something about 2 masters the pagan master is always going to try and destroy, pulverize, and cut off the Godly master in you.

Here is a revelation from the Lord : YOUR FAMILY IS NOT WORTH YOUR SOUL

The Lord says to pray for the unsaved to be a witness, in no way does He say to sacrifice your position with Him and your standing and your favor by setting up a high place and “burning incense and honoring that high place to appease family”

Solomon sacrificed his Soul to Appease Family, he sacrificed His favor with God to appease family who were not serving the Lord but the enemy.

1 Kings 11:7-8 ⁷ Then Solomon built a ^[a]high place for [worshiping] Chemosh the horror (detestable idol) of Moab, on the hill which is east of Jerusalem, and for Molech the horror (detestable idol) of the sons of Ammon. ⁸ And he did the same for all of his foreign wives, who burned incense and sacrificed to their gods.

People are making up their own rules to justify lifestyles where there are high places set up to false gods, intermingling with unclean spirits. And let me tell you these spirits play dirty they are liars and will talk you into believing what you are doing is “ok” according to God’s law in order to get you off balance in your thinking so you then continue to go to that high place.

Now let me tell you the dream I had:

It looked like a place in Hawaii, there was a hill a high place. I was down below watching. Up on the hill was a black temple ruin. Infront of that temple ruin were 3 individuals. The one to the left and in the middle were dressed identical! Both had grey t shirts on, both had their t shirts tied up identical exposing their abdomens. They both had Hawaiian floral skirts on they were dressed IDENTICAL, doing the same Hawaiian Hula type dance! All the way to the right a dark figure doing it with them influencing them. They were doing this infront of the temple ruin at the high place!

Then next thing I know I am on the phone with a voice that was the voice of truth because the person who was this voice of truth, or the Holy Spirit, exposes myths, lies, and false doctrine. He was talking about one of the people at that high place saying they were not listening, that He was trying to get them to listen (meaning they think what they are doing is of God and there was a high place mixed in) a tie to paganism, pagan worship or pagan practice but they could not see it. They were actually deceived into thinking what they were doing was Godly when it was very clear it had nothing to do with the Lord

So that hula dance is tied to a false goddess laka and it is said the dancer becomes once with this false god that there are flowers involved and on these skirts on the dream were flowers

So from here I wake up and begin to realize a few things, remember I was allowed to watch this take place from a distance because the Lord was protecting me

Secondly there is a lying spirit involved with all of this because to even be ties to a high place in your life you have to deceive yourself into thinking its ok to tolerate that high place because you are in some ways serving the Lord. However the high place is what holds the anchor that will influence and taint your walk with the Lord where…

You muddy the waters, you are not seeing clearly or hearing clearly because you have tolerated this high place and it pulls you away from serving the Lord little by little is makes you tolerate more and more ritual, more and more practice, more and more self gratification, it can send you into a tailspin. They keep these high around but become increasingly discontent with the effects it is having in their lives until

The Lord has to bring down the high place. See we forget that we are God’s first and He will not compete, so when you are putting these high places competing against Almighty God, a house divided among itself cannot stand. You see things like violence, abuse, compromise of complacency. And when we want to continue to serve a high place and ignore the Lord’s instruction of “this is wrong, this is wicked, this is corrupt, this is blasphemous” The Lord has to destroy that high place to protect you. Sure people are able to talk themselves for a while into rationalizing it but the fruits of that high place will run rancid in your life

2 Kings 18:4 He removed the high places and broke down the sacred pillars and cut down the Asherah. He also broke in pieces the bronze serpent that Moses had made, for until those days the sons of Israel burned incense to it; and it was called Nehushtan.

Hi Amanda. I just heard about your dream and I received some additional revelation. The exposed abdomen stood out because of the following:

“In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink. He that believeth on Me, as the Scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake He of the Spirit, which they that believe on Him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)” ~ John 7:37-39 (KJV)

As you said, the muddy waters represents impurities from an impure spirit. Another thing about the “high place” is the water flows down low. The enemy is a counterfeiter and he is trying to pour out a spirit of deception to counteract what the Lord is doing:

‘And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out My Spirit.’ ~ Joel 2:28-29 (KJV)

And that brings up another thing. Hula dancing is meant to mesmerize (hypnotize/put to sleep), which is a counterfeit of the following:

“For the Lord hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath He covered.” ~ Isaiah 29:10 (KJV)

The dancing is also symbolic of a seducing spirit, which is what led to John the Baptist’s death and what Jezebel tried to use when Jehu confronted her on her high place (2 Kings 9:30-37):

“And when a convenient day was come, that Herod on his birthday made a supper to his lords, high captains, and chief estates of Galilee; And when the daughter of the said Herodias came in, and danced, and pleased Herod and them that sat with him, the king said unto the damsel, ‘Ask of me whatsoever thou wilt, and I will give it thee.’

And he sware unto her, ‘Whatsoever thou shalt ask of me, I will give it thee, unto the half of my kingdom.’

And she went forth, and said unto her mother, ‘What shall I ask?’

And she said, ‘The head of John the Baptist.’

And she came in straightway with haste unto the king, and asked, saying, ‘I will that thou give me by and by in a charger the head of John the Baptist.’

And the king was exceeding sorry; yet for his oath's sake, and for their sakes which sat with him, he would not reject her. And immediately the king sent an executioner, and commanded his head to be brought: and he went and beheaded him in the prison, And brought his head in a charger, and gave it to the damsel: and the damsel gave it to her mother.” ~ Mark 6:21-28 (KJV)

Everything changes when God says, “ENOUGH!!!” The enemy had a rough week last week. Three players from different knees refused to bend the knee to BLM (Baal), one is a minister who was questioned and got to speak about the gospel of Christ Jesus. Doctors are standing up for treatments of COVID the mainstream is trying to suppress. The enemy tried discretions one of the doctors who is a (deliverance) minister and it all backfire. The Lord is on the throne.
